$10,000 Against Michigan For Public Records Dispute

as part of a settlement in a case regarding a denied public records request, the state will be required to pay $10,000.

Dana Nessel, Michigan’s Attorney General announced that her office had reached a settlement with Progress Michigan that sued the state after Bill Schuette, Republican former Attorney General, denied a public records request in 2016.
