$2.5 Million Against DoorDash Over Driver Tips

Doordash cyclist

DoorDash will be forced to pay $2.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed in 2019 by D.C.’s attorney general. The lawsuit alleges that it misled customers regarding how much of the tips were going to the delivery drivers instead of to the company.

The breakdown of the settlement proceeds is as follows. $1.5 million in payments will go directly to DoorDash drivers in D.C., $750,000 will go to D.C. itself, and the last $250,000 to be donated to local District charities.
