$2 Million Settlement In Brockton Discrimination Case

Brockton, MA has agreed to pay just over $2 million to settle a class-action on racial discrimination claims by people who claimed they were declined jobs at the Public Works Department of the city.

$1.75 million will go to compensate 69 applicants of the department and $300,000 will be used for improvements at the HR department of the city. This will include diversity training and anti-discrimination training practices.
