$850,000 in settlement to Muslim aides targeted in House inquiry

The House of Representatives paid $850k to quietly settle the wrongful-firing claims by five Pakistani American technologists, after several workplace allegations against them turned into criticism from right-wing conspiracy theories, pushed forth by the President, Donald Trump.

Considered together, the $800,000 payment is one of the largest awards offered by the House of Representatives in order to deal with discrimination claims.
