Fresno, California Pays Nearly $10 Million to Settle Two Police Shootings

In the settlement, the city of Fresno will pay $9.9 million to the family of Dylan Noble, a 19-year-old man who was fatally shot by police in 2016, and $1 million to the family of Raul Moncada, a 36-year-old man who was fatally shot by police in 2015. The agreement comes after two years of negotiations between city officials and attorneys representing the families. The settlement is the largest in Fresno’s history.
